May 13, 1990 Maurice Parker Jr. was born to Delores and Maurice Parker in Omaha, Ne. He grew up in Omaha with 5 sisters. Speaking with Maurice’s mom, Delores, she recalls a memory of when Maurice was around 7 years old, Maurice Sr. was remodeling the kitchen, putting in new cabinets and such, and there was drywall pieces and drywall dust all over the kitchen and she went in the bathroom to get ready for work and she kept hearing noises and was wondering what the noises were.
Well, to come find out after she was finished getting ready for work she came out to find Maurice Jr. moving all the drywall pieces. Delores asks Maurice “Baby, what are you doing?” Maurice responds “Mamma I am making you a path to go to work so you don’t get dirty.” She was so proud of her son to do that for her. She goes on to say that Maurice never talked back to her or anyone that she knows of and he always used “Yes ma’am” “No ma’am” when speaking to her, simply out of politeness and respect.
